This software update program is for the customer-owned product listed above (the “affected product”), and is provided only on acceptance of the agreement listed below. By selecting “Accept” and clicking “Download”, you are held to have accepted the terms and conditions of the agreement. Be sure you understand the terms of the agreement before beginning download.

  • • This service supplies software that can be used to update the firmware for KeyMission 80 cameras to version 1.4. Before proceeding, check the camera firmware version. You will not need to download this update if the firmware listed above is already installed.
  • • Use the latest version of the SnapBridge app.
  • • This update includes all changes made in previous updates.
  • • Read the information below before proceeding.
Changes from Firmware Version 1.3 to 1.4
  • • Fixed the following issue:
    • - When users attempted to pair the camera with the smart device using the SnapBridge app under iOS 13, pairing would end in failure and a message to that effect would be displayed.

Changes from Firmware Version 1.2 to 1.3
  • • Fixed an issue that prevented the camera charging if it was off when connected to the computer via USB.
  • • Fixed an issue that caused photos shot with a lens for selfies (camera 2) being flipped vertically when taken with the camera in landscape orientation.
Changes from Firmware Version 1.1 to 1.2
  • • Improved an issue that interfered with pairing or resulted in unreliable connections when the camera was used with the Android edition of the SnapBridge app.
Changes from Firmware Version 1.0 to 1.1
  • • Made improvements regarding an issue which resulted in connections between the camera and iOS 10.2-compatible versions of the SnapBridge app becoming unstable.
  • • Made movie and photo download using the SnapBridge app more reliable.
  • • Fixed an issue in which zoom would be displayed during remote photography with the SnapBridge app.
  • • Fixed an issue in which location data supplied by the smartphone would be recorded incorrectly when On was selected for Upload location in the Connect tab of the SnapBridge app.
Viewing the Camera Firmware Version
  1. Start the KeyMission 80 and navigate to the shooting display.
  2. Press the MENU button and select Camera settings > Firmware version in the SET_UP Setup menu to display the camera firmware version.
  3. Check the current firmware version.

Updating the Camera Firmware
  1. Create a folder on the computer hard disk and name it as desired.
  2. Download F-KM80-V14W.exe to the folder created in Step 1.
  3. Run F-KM80-V14W.exe to extract the firmware to a sub-folder in the new folder. The resulting file and folder hierarchy is shown below:
    • firmware (the sub-folder containing the firmware)
    • firmware.bin (the camera firmware, located in the “firmware” folder)
  4. Using a card slot or card reader, copy the “firmware” folder to a memory card that has been formatted in the camera.
    Note: Be sure to copy the “firmware” folder to the root (top-most) directory of the memory card. The camera will not recognize the new firmware if it is placed in a folder under the root directory.
  5. Insert the memory card into the camera and turn the camera on.
  6. Select Camera settings > Firmware version in the SET_UP Setup menu and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the update. The camera will turn off automatically when the update is complete.
  7. Turn the camera on, then format the memory card.
  8. Confirm that the firmware has been updated to the new version.

Updating the Camera Firmware
