This software update program is for the customer-owned product listed above (the “affected product”), and is provided only on acceptance of the agreement listed below. About this firmware:

This firmware update upgrades the Nikon D2H 'A' firmware from 2.00 or earlier to version 2.01 and 'B' firmware from 2.00 or earlier to version 2.01.  When performing this update, be sure to upgrade both the 'A' and 'B' firmware. If these firmware versions are already installed on your camera then you do not need to proceed with this update.
The following changes have been made:
- An issue which caused the D2H to occasionally freeze when navigating between images when playback zoom was activated has been corrected.
- A problem which prevented the saving of WT-1 settings when connected to the D2H has been corrected. This problem occurred in the following situations:
a) The Wireless LAN>Transceiver option was set to Off after connection to an FTP server.   WT-1 settings were then adjusted and the D2H was turned off.
b) The Wireless LAN>Transceiver option was set to Off after connection to an FTP server.  WT-1 settings were then adjusted, Transceiver set to On and then set to Off while connecting to a server, and the D2H then turned off.
- Incorrect character displays in Spanish, Chinese, and German menus have been corrected.
- A problem has been corrected that caused Nikon Capture Control 4 to sometimes quit unexpectedly or display an inconsistent aperture value. This occurred when the Aperture setting option in f5 Command dials was switched from Aperture ring to Sub-command dial (Macintosh only).

This firmware update includes all the new features implemented in the previous firmware update v2.00 plus the fixes above,  click here to download the v2.00 firmware manual addendum.

Quick guide for download and installing this firmware
  1. Download and expand the firmware files.
  2. Format an approved CF card in the camera.
  3. Remove WT-1 or set transceiver to off.
  4. Connect camera to computer (in MSC USB mode) or use a CF Card Reader (if copying the firmware update to memory card, do not use the Lexar Media JumpShot USB cable. The D2H firmware update may not perform correctly).
  5. Copy to the top level of the card the downloaded “AD2H0201.bin” (A firmware) or “BD2H0201.bin” (B firmware) files. Do not copy both files to the card at the same time. 
  6. Disconnect the camera from computer.
  7. Turn camera on and press the "Menu" button, then select "Firmware Ver".
  8. Follow the camera's on-screen menus.
  9. At completion of upgrade turn the camera off.
  10. Repeat steps 5 and 8 to perform the second firmware update. 
  11. Re-format Card.

Special Notes
When the WT-1 is attached, the D2H firmware cannot be updated if 'Transceiver' in the setup/wireless LAN menu is turned on.  Remove the WT-1 before updating the D2H firmware or set 'Transceiver' in the setup/wireless LAN menu to off. Be aware that proper operation of your D2H is not guaranteed if either A or B firmware is upgraded to version 2.01 while the other firmware remains version 1.00. When B firmware is upgraded from version 1.00 to version 2.01, shooting menu settings will be restored to default settings.  Playback menu, CSM menu, and setup menu settings will not be affected.
