  • • This service supplies software that can be used to update the D7500 camera “C” firmware to version 1.12. Before proceeding, select [Firmware version] in the camera [SETUP MENU] and check the camera firmware version. You will not need to download or install this update if the firmware listed above is already installed.
  • • This update includes all changes made in previous updates.
  • • A card reader and computer are required for the firmware update.
  • • Read the information below before proceeding.
Changes from “C” Firmware Version 1.11 to 1.12
  • • Changed the default password displayed on the connection menu after all the camera's settings were reset.
  • • Fixed a phenomenon in which the L and R sound level indicators on both the camera monitor and the external HDMI recorder are reversed while images are output to the HDMI recorder in movie live view.
Changes from Previous Versions
Changes from “C” Firmware Version 1.10 to 1.11
  • • Fixed an issue occurring during live-view photography with a mix of optically- and radio-controlled flash units that would sometimes result in the optically-controlled units not firing.
  • • Fixed an issue occurring when a flash unit was mounted on the camera that would sometimes result in the camera ignoring the value selected for [ISO sensitivity settings] > [Maximum sensitivity with command dial] in the [PHOTO SHOOTING MENU] after settings were loaded using [Save/load settings] > [Load settings] in the [SETUP MENU].
  • Note
  • Performing a firmware update while the camera is affected by the second of the two issues above will not in itself correct the problem. After performing the update, you will need to either:
    • • reset all settings using [Reset all settings] > [Reset] in the [SETUP MENU], or
    • • load previously-saved settings (if available) from the memory card using [Save/load settings] > [Load settings] in the [SETUP MENU].
Changes from “C” Firmware Version 1.01 to 1.10
  • • The camera can now connect via Wi-Fi to devices running SnapBridge. For more information, see the “Addendum to the User’s Manual” in which this feature is described. Before using this feature, upgrade to the following version of the app:
    • - SnapBridge version 2.5.4 or later
  • • Fixed the following issues:
    • - If the mode dial was rotated from P to U1 and then back to P, ISO sensitivity would be set to the value selected for U1.
    • - Repeatedly pressing the zoom in and zoom out buttons during movie live view would cause unexpected behavior when [3840x2160; 30p] was selected for [Frame size/frame rate] in the [MOVIE SHOOTING MENU].
Changes from “C” Firmware Version 1.00 to 1.01
  • • The [SETUP MENU] > [Time zone and date] > [Time zone] display now shows only the names of major cities in the currently selected zone.
