- • This service supplies software that can be used to update the firmware for COOLPIX S33 cameras to version 1.1. Before proceeding, select Firmware version in the Camera settings menu and check the camera firmware version. You will not need to download or install this update if the firmware listed above is already installed.

- • Fixed an issue that resulted in the camera interfering with nearby radios and other devices, possibly producing audible noise, when connected to the EH-73P/EH-73PCH charging AC adapter via USB with the battery inserted and the power off. This issue does not occur when the EH-71P/EH-71PCH charging AC adapter is used.

- Viewing the Camera Firmware Version

- Turn the camera on.
- Press flexible button 4 on the camera to display the Settings menu.
- Press flexible button 4 and select Camera settings, then display Firmware version using the multi selector and press flexible button 3 to display the camera firmware version.
- Check the camera firmware version.
- Turn the camera off.

- Updating the Camera Firmware

- Create a folder on the computer hard disk and name it as desired.
- Download F-S33-V11W.exe to the folder created in Step 1.
- Run F-S33-V11W.exe to extract the firmware to a sub-folder in the new folder. The resulting file and folder hierarchy is shown below:
• firmware (the sub-folder containing the firmware)
• firmware.bin (the camera firmware, located in the “firmware” folder)
- Using a card slot or card reader, copy the “firmware” folder to a memory card that has been formatted in the camera.
- Insert the memory card into the camera and turn the camera on.
- Select Firmware version in the Settings > Camera settings menu and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the firmware update.
- Once the update is complete, turn the camera off and remove the memory card.
- Confirm that the firmware has been updated to the new version.

- Double-click the F-S33-V11M.dmg icon to mount a disk image containing the folder and file below:
• firmware (the sub-folder containing the firmware)
• firmware.bin (the camera firmware, located in the “firmware” folder)
