- • This software supplies a service for the D3S that simultaneously updates the “A” firmware to version 1.03 and the “B” firmware to version 1.02. Before proceeding, select Firmware version in the camera SETUP MENU and check the camera firmware version. You will not need to download or install this update if the firmware listed above is already installed.
- • Read the information below before proceeding.
|
- Changes from Firmware Versions “A” 1.02/“B” 1.02 to Versions “A” 1.03/“B” 1.02
-
- • Fixed the following issues:
- - The battery level indicator would on rare occasions flash if the camera was turned on with Clean at shutdown or Clean at startup & shutdown selected for SETUP MENU > Clean image sensor > Clean at startup/shutdown.
- - Two different pictures with the same file number would on rare occasions be recorded to both memory cards if two cards were inserted with Overflow selected for SHOOTING MENU > Slot 2.
|
- Changes from Previous Versions
-
Changes from Firmware Versions “A” 1.01/“B” 1.01 to “A” 1.02/“B” 1.02
- • Added support for AF-S NIKKOR 800 mm f/5.6E FL ED VR lenses.
|
Changes from Firmware Versions “A” 1.00/“B” 1.00 to “A” 1.01/“B” 1.01
- • Made the following changes to movie recording to fix an issue that on rare occasions made it appear as though recording had stopped:
- - A “shooting info + histogram” display is available in the live view exposure preview for Tripod mode, but the histogram now clears from the display during recording.
- - When the camera is connected to a TV using an EG-D2 audio/video cable, pressing the live view button displays the view through the lens both on the TV and in the camera monitor, but the camera monitor now turns off during movie recording. The monitor turns on when the EG-D2 audio/video cable is disconnected from the camera.
- • Changed some Simplified Chinese menus and help text.
- • With some CompactFlash memory cards, the top control panel would display “CHA” and the card could not be used. This issue has been fixed.
