About this firmware update
This service provides software for upgrading the Wireless Transmitter WT-4 firmware to v1.1.Support for Thumbnail Selector Ver. 1.1.0 has been added. Be sure to read the sections below before upgrading the firmware.
Users of the D3 / D300
When using the WT-4 with firmware ver1.1, be sure that the D3 / D300 firmware and Thumbnail Selector and WT-4 Setup Utility are the latest versions. If you are using any of the firmware / software versions listed below, be sure to download the latest version(s) from our website and perform the necessary upgrades.
- D3 A firmware ver. 1.00 / B firmware ver. 1.00 or A firmware ver. 1.10 / B firmware ver. 1.11
- D300 firmware v1.10
- Thumbnail Selector ver 1.0.0 or ver 1.0.1
- WT-4 Setup Utility ver. 1.0.0
How to confirm your WT-4 firmware version
1. Connect the WT-4 to a compatible camera and turn the camera and WT-4 on.
*To view WT-4 firmware version with connection to a D3 or D300, the USB item in the setup menu must be set to MTP / PTP. Press the camera's MENU button to display the setup menu and verify that MTP / PTP is selected in the USB option.
2. Press the camera's MENU button and select Wireless transmitter > Device info > Firmware version from the setup menu. The WT-4 firmware version will be displayed.
3. Turn off the WT-4 and the camera.
Install Notes
- You must have Administrator authority when installing this software.
- Exit Thumbnail Selector, and any other application that may be running before starting this update.

Precautions
Microdrives cannot be used to perform this firmware upgrade.
If the download firmware will be copied to a CompactFlash memory card, do not use the Lexar Media Jumpshot USB Cable, as the firmware will not be updated correctly.
Quick guide for download and installing this firmware update
Power the WT-4 from AC adapter unit or use a fully charged battery.
1. Download the software from the link below and extract the firmware file _WT411__.bin
2. Format an approved memory card in the camera
3. Copy the firmware file _WT411__.bin to the top level of the memory card.
4. Insert the memory card into the camera (if using a D3 use slot 1).
5. Connect the camera to the WT-4 and turn both on.
6. On the camera press the "Menu" button, select the SETUP menu > Wireless transmitter > device info > Firmware Version.
7. Select "Update" and follow the camera's on-screen menus. Do not turn the camera or WT-4 off during upgrade.
8. When a message displays that the upgrade is complete, turn the camera and the WT-4 off.
9. Turn the camera and WT-4 on again to confirm that the firmware has successfully been updated to v1.1.

How to confirm your WT-4 firmware version
1. Connect the WT-4 to a compatible camera and turn the camera and WT-4 on.

- Exit all other applications that may be running, and turn off all virus-checking software before proceeding with this upgrade.
